It contains two ingredients for residual ant control and can eliminate an entire colony in a matter of weeks. How Extinguish Plus Insecticide Works
Extinguish Plus Fire Ant Bait contains the active ingredient hydramethylnon. Though this ingredient doesn’t provide quick knockdown, it works slowly to allow the insects to take the bait to the nest where it will infect every member, including the queen. It only takes a couple weeks for the bait to circulate through the colony and to infect every member. Extinguish Plus also contains s-methoprene, an insect growth regulator to target the young and to make sure no reinfestations can occur later.

Use Extinguish Plus Fire Ant Bait indoors and outdoors to target fire ants and other invasive ants where they nest or search for food. It’s labeled for residential use and commercial properties, as well as container and nursery stock. It can be applied on sod farms and pastures, as well as rangelands and commercial turf. Use it for long-lasting control to keep fire ants and other ant species away from the target areas.

Extinguish Plus can be used directly on fire ant mounds or as a broadcast treatment to control other ant species.
